The emergence of 5G can not replace the router? Still too expensive

5G belongs to the wireless network, and the home use of optical fiber to the home belongs to the wired network, 5G and optical fiber are transmission media, fiber optic broadband using optical fiber as the transmission medium, 5G using high-frequency wireless electromagnetic waves as the transmission medium.
In the future use of 5G, we need to set up indoor "room division" in order to bring the signal from the outdoor base station to the indoor, and signal relay almost. However, the signal will be attenuated during the introduction process, and the corresponding network speed will be reduced. This is the same reason that WiFi signal deteriorates after penetrating the wall.
The price of room division is not cheap, but if you want to achieve better results, you basically need to install room division antenna in every house. So it seems that if you use 5G but remove the router, some of the gains are not worth the losses. If you consider that 5G uses wireless electromagnetic waves to transmit data and is susceptible to interference and other factors, it is not easy to let 5G replace the router.
